Innovative low pass filters
Exxelia has developed several ranges of miniature filters with different low-pass configuration (C, L, Pi, T, 2xPi, 2xL and 2xT) mainly intended to protect electronic equipment from interferences.
Low-pass filter solutions are mainly used for EMI suppression in electronics systems. Exxelia Technologies (ex-Eurofarad), part of Exxelia Group, has developed several ranges of miniature filters with different low-pass configuration (C, L, Pi, T, 2xPi, 2xL and 2xT) mainly intended to protect electronic equipment from interferences.
Exxelia Technologies produces sophisticated filters assembling Exxelia Group’s manufactured ceramic capacitors (X7R/ NPO) with ferrite inductors or winding cores in a shielding case. This solution’s main benefits are performance, reliability and optimal traceability.
Considering a filter in a shielding case implies a good metallic package to insure high shielding performances with attenuation up to 10 GHz. Among options, Exxelia offers glass sealing, steel or kovar package using tin, silver or gold plating treatments to withstand any thermally or mechanically challenged applicaiton.
Exxelia offers innovative EMI suppression filter solutions providing great shielding performance including the FC030 feedthrough mounted on shielding enclosure and FCM030 series designed to prevent EMI on printed circuit board.
FC030 series is feedthrough filter allowing to prevent not only EMI conduction but also EMI radiation on power supply or data signals designs up to 200V. FC030 insertion loss can be 20dB at 1MHz to reach 70dB up to 10 GHz. FC030 series is extremely performant on low frequencies applications.
On the other hand, FC030 can offer very low capacitance values starting from 5pF allowing to protect high bandwidth data signals. Operating temperature from -55C° up to +175C°. FC030 series is ESA qualified.
FCM030 features same design and performances’ as FC030 and is intended for surface mount devices. FCM030 is packaged in full metallic silver plated allowing optimal contact with ground plane that improves the interferences flow to the ground.
The series particularly fit for amplifiers, radars, sensitive HMI, accurate measuring.
Space & Military Grade Passives at CMSE - booth # B13 -
CMSE is one of the most recognized conference dedicated to the use of component in military and space systems. As a key supplier of highly reliable passive components, Exxelia will be displaying in booth B13, a wide variety of military and space-qualified capacitors (ceramic, tantalum, film, electrolytic aluminum), wound magnetics solutions and EMI/RFI filters. Two new ranges of MIL-qualified tantalum capacitors: MIL39006/22 & MIL39006/25 The recently introduced ranges of MIL-qualified tantalum capacitors will be showcased on the company booth (B13). MIL 39006/22 and MIL 39006/25 respectively equivalent to CLR79 and CLR81 types feature hermetically sealed cylindrical tantalum cases and axial leads are available in T1, T2 T3 and T4 cases with extended capacitance and voltage ratings. MIL 39006/22 is qualified for voltages from 6V to 125V and provides from 1200µF @ 6V to 56 µF @ 125V. MIL 39006/25 is qualified for voltages from 25V to 125V and delivers from 680µF @ 25V to 82 µF @ 125V. Both ranges combine high energy density with a large operating temperature range of -55°C - +125°C and H vibrations and shocks resistance. Alsic 20G, Aluminum Electrolytic capacitors with large operating temperatures Alsic 20G is a range of radial leaded aluminum electrolytic capacitors for typical use in military and aerospace high frequency switch-mode power supplies requiring advanced performance under all operating conditions. Alsic 20G operational rated life is 8,000 hours at rated voltage and 105°C, and provides from 330µF @ 500V to 80 000μF @16V. The range features ruggedized design with insulating aluminum case and tin coated leads. With capacitance stability at high temperature, low inductance and impedance, competitive ESR and high ripple current, these capacitors are perfectly adapted for mission-critical applications. C48X dielectric: NPO and X7R advantages combined Under working voltage, C48X dielectric provides equivalent capacitance values to an X7R material with the advantage of a very low dissipation factor (less than 5.10-4). It can also withstand very high dV/dt, up to 10kV/µs which makes it perfect for pulse and charge/discharge applications for firing units. Exxelia’s C48X capacitors, available from 200V to 5kV with EIA sizes from 1812 to 16080, are ideally suited for power applications where heat dissipation may be detrimental to performances and reliability, such as 400Hz Aircraft, Ignition systems, and Space, or as Precision/filtering capacitance in thermally challenged environment for AC or DC voltage.
Magnetic Components based on Adaptive CCM Technology at APEC – Booth# 653 –
Exxelia will exhibit the CCM series during the Applied Power Electronics Conference at Exxelia’s booth #623 from March 27-30, 2017 in Tampa, FL. Exxelia designed CCM technology to respond to the growing interest of electronic engineers for inductors and transformers with multiple outputs, high power density and reduced footprint. Qualified for aeronautic and space applications, the CCM product line features terrific robustness. The monolithic design provides high mechanical performance, proven by the successfully testing in accordance with MIL-STD-202 (methods 213 and 204). The series offers five different sizes, allowing optimized component design in a pick-and-place surface mount (SMD) package. Through-hole (TH) packages are also available upon request. The CCM series is particularly flexible with a number of pins options available, from 2×6 pins for the smallest package, up to 2×10. CCM transformers and inductors can operate over a wide temperature range with a minimal temperature of -55° C. The standard thermal grade of the technology is 140° C. Thanks to the technology design, the thermal resistance is 30% lower than standard industrial components. The epoxy molding protecting the winding ensures a lower temperature gradient and a better heat dissipation. Each unit is thoroughly tested with a dielectric withstanding strength of 1,500 VAC. Component materials meet UL 94-V0 rating. Exxelia can evaluate losses and related temperature rise thanks to an in-depth knowledge of CCM technology. Thermal resistance data is available for each package size. Exxelia can also manufacture products in CCM technology according to MIL-STD-981.
